Studypool is a platform where you can get paid by tutoring students all over the world.

So how it works is, students from all over the world post their questions, problems, or queries they are struggling with and tutors like you who have expertise in that topic can help these students and get paid.

Tutors can bid on the questions, and once the student chooses him, a tutor can then start working on that question during this time students can stay in touch with the tutor and ask follow-up questions if he has further doubts.

Now talking about earnings, according to Studypool itself, tutors can earn up to $7,500 per month working from home but the earnings totally depend on multiple factors like availability, amount of questions they answer, quality of their work, and pricing per question.

For eg, here are the earnings from top earners on this website.

As you can see, “Allanmitch” has earned over $93,922 from this platform alone.

Different questions offer different pay (check the below screenshot for an idea) and it can be anywhere from $3 to $40 , but it can be more than this too.

Once you bid on a question and complete it, and the user approves your question, studypool will release your payment.

And you need a minimum of $50 to withdraw your earnings.

Withdraw methods are not clearly mentioned by the site but I guess you can easily withdraw your earnings through PayPal or direct bank transfer (please contact the site for withdrawal methods)

The number of sites that let students list their homework and assignments is growing, and there are so many ways to do people's homework for money these days.

So if you want to earn money online for free , keep reading as I cover the ins and outs of each platform to help you find the one (or more than one) that is right for you!

1. SweetStudy (HomeworkMarket)

One of the best ways to get paid to do homework is to offer your services on SweetStudy, formerly known as HomeworkMarket.

Getting started on SweetStudy is also super easy!

SweetStudy

Once you create your profile, you add your skills and set your homework helper rate so students can hire you to help them with their homework questions .

Students on SweetStudy also upload questions and assignments they need help with.

If you find an assignment you want to complete, you upload your answer to the site with your preferred price. Students can only view complete answers after submitting payment, ensuring you get paid for your help.

And another way to make money with SweetStudy is to become a tutor.

If you want to become a verified tutor, you include a description that outlines your degrees and areas of expertise. This lets you set higher rates and look more appealing to students looking to pay for their homework.

You can choose from many subjects and types of work, including doing homework, proofreading homework, and answering questions for cash .

  • Payment Rate : Approximately $5-$20 per assignment.
  • Fees : 20% commission per assignment.

TutorMe pays $16 per hour as well, making it a great way to make money by doing homework and teaching students about topics they're struggling with.

Once you register as a tutor and complete your profile, you complete a quiz on every subject you want to help out with. If you get at least 90% on the quiz, you qualify for that subject.

To make money doing homework, you answer questions students post on School Solver. As mentioned, you have to provide a full explanation or demonstration of how you found the answer. Students can preview the answer but won’t be able to view it fully until they pay you.

Students set how much they're willing to pay for homework answers, so you can decide what questions are worth your time and effort.

School Solver also lets students reach out if they need clarification or are unhappy with the answer. In this case, you have a certain amount of time to respond before the student receives a refund.

The best part about School Solver is that answered questions get moved to its search engine database .

So, if other students need help with similar questions, they can search for it, find your answer, and pay to see it– meaning you can get paid passive income and over for answering a single question!

11. Offer Essay Writing Services

If you’re a writer at heart, you can find students in your area or at your school who need help with their essays.

My university offered a writing center, where tutors would help brainstorm a thesis, build an argument or outline, and also offer revision and editing. It was extremely helpful during my undergrad and lot’s of students could benefit from the same service.

You can also advertise your services on Facebook Marketplace and set your own rates either hourly or per page. I think this is a great side husle for teens as well as college students as long as you're a talented writer.

Overall, the freelance writing route probably makes more money, but working through your school makes getting work easier.

I suggest using the rates from other sites above to make sure you're competitive but also being paid well for your time.

How Much Money Can You Make Doing Homework For Other People?

If you answer a few homework questions per month, you can likely make $50 to $200 a month or so in income. However, you can earn much more money if you help people with services like essay writing or test preparation .

In fact, test-prep tutors can make hundreds or thousands of dollars per month if they help with difficult tests like SATs. And essay writing can easily earn a few hundred dollars per essay if you're writing for college and university students.

Just ensure you're comfortable with doing homework for money before getting started. In most countries, writing essays for other people is against school rules, so keep this in mind.

15 Companies and Websites Like Chegg (Get Paid For Homework Help)

Looking for the best Chegg alternatives? Below you’ll find a collection of useful sites like Chegg to earn money as an online tutor providing homework help.

Of websites that offer homework help, Chegg might well be the most popular one. It has abundant work, offers great rates, and provides its tutors with flexible opportunities.

Getting started is easy too. As long as you are ready to verify your identity and provide qualification documents, you are only an interview-style exam away from becoming a tutor.

Unfortunately, passing the exam is not guaranteed. And even if you pass, the competition for work is often too high. You may not hit the ground running.

This article is for you if you are looking for websites like Chegg that pay tutors to provide homework assistance.

Read on for the top 15 Chegg alternatives.

The best websites like Chegg

1. course hero.

Course Hero is a learning platform with a vast library of crowdsourced resources that benefits millions of students worldwide. Like Chegg, Course Hero hires English-speaking freelance tutors to answer questions for around $3 a question.

No certification or proof of experience is required to join Course Hero. The platform gives you the benefit of the doubt and only locks you out if you do not pass the initial aptitude test.

As a Course Hero tutor, you can expect to make between $12 and $20 per hour, or up to $1,500 per month. Payments are made through PayPal.

2. SweetStudy

Formerly known as HomeworkMarket, SweetStudy is one of the oldest platforms in academic writing. It pays freelancers to do homework, proofread homework, and answer individual questions.

SweetStudy has a market-standard pay rate of $5-$20, though contractors have to forego 20% of their earnings, which the platform cuts as commission. The remainder can be withdrawn via PayPal, Western Union, Payoneer, or Wise.

You can become a freelancer at SweetStudy without any qualifications or experience. It’s, however, more lucrative if you have a college degree, as some assignments are strictly assigned to verified tutors.

To find work, you will first need to create a profile, showcasing your skills and rates, after which SweetStudy will give you access to their job pool.

Note that, unlike many websites like Chegg, SweetStudy won’t take down assignments once someone starts doing them. Instead, they will remain accessible to all eligible freelancers until the student finds a satisfying answer.

3. Studypool

Studypool is a great place if you are a college student or graduate looking to get paid to help other students do their homework.

The registration process is a short but tough one. Candidates write a 200-word essay and then go through an interview, which tests their English proficiency.

You will be eligible to do assignments and answer live questions immediately after your registration is approved.

Since Studypool is a bidding site, your ability to get assignments partly depends on your bidding language, profile history, and chosen pay rate.

According to Studypool, its highest earners pocket up to $7,500 per month.

You Might Also Like: 15 Sites Like Studypool For Tutors

Reddit may not be the dedicated homework help site we asked for, but some of its 48 million users are students looking for help with their homework.

Many of these are individuals dodging the high service fees of companies like Chegg or seeking direct unfiltered interaction with their helpers.

The r/hwforcash subreddit has over 16k followers. You can view it even without a Reddit account, but you must be logged in to interact with anyone.

Reddit has no specific rules regarding homework help. There is also no protection whatsoever from potential scammers either.

However, if you are looking for long-term clients, Reddit is your best bet. Other sites like Chegg don’t encourage sharing of contacts between users.

5. PaperCoach

PaperCoach offers homework help to students of all education levels. So it doesn’t matter whether your specialty is writing high school, college, or PhD assignments. If you know your thing, the platform welcomes you to submit your application.

The registration process involves CV submission followed by qualification verification. You can start working immediately after your account is approved, which, in many cases, takes several days to a few weeks.

The job pool is not always brimming with assignments, especially when schools are closed, but work will always be available for the most experienced and qualified writers. So while putting your all into earning decent money, ensure your clients are happy too.

PaperCoach’s minimum pay rate is $8 per page.

More sites and companies like Chegg

6. helpwithassignment.

Not many companies like Chegg pay their writers $9.50 per page. HelpWithAssignment offers that as the minimum rate.

But that doesn’t come on a silver platter. To join, tutors must have at least two years of teaching experience or a Master’s or Ph.D. They also have to take and pass an entrance test.

Approved tutors provide services such as:

  • Assignment assistance
  • Live tutoring
  • Answering questions in the platform’s solution library

While you can make good money bidding for random tasks on the job pool, creating bonds with repeat clients is your best bet to make HelpWithAssignment a primary income source.

7. 24hoursanswers

For $45 per hour on average, 24hoursanswers gives tutors an opportunity to work with college students seeking homework help and live online tutoring.

You need a Master’s degree or, if you are a student, an exceptional performance record to join 24hoursanswers as a tutor.

The job pool is open to everyone who gets the initial approval. Work postings may not be as orderly as in Chegg, but the platform counterbalances that by letting homework helpers give an estimate of the time it will take to complete an assignment.

As a helper, you also get to negotiate the pay rate directly with the student.

24hoursanswers pays freelancers via Payoneer, PayPal, ACH payments, and bank transfers. Payments are sent out monthly.

8. Schoolsolver

Schoolsolver is different from many websites like Chegg in that tutors and homework helpers can be paid several times for the same answer if it’s bought more than once. The platform also insists that helpers show their work so students can learn in the process.

What I like most about Schoolsolver is fancy academic papers are not part of the registration prerequisites. You can sign up with or without a degree and offer help in as many subjects as you wish.

Before that, however, you will need to get at least 90% on quizzes for the specific subjects you want to handle.

You can make an average of $15 per hour on Schoolsolver. The site will cut a 20% commission per answer and an additional 2% when withdrawing your cumulative earnings to your PayPal account.

TutorMe is one of my favorite Chegg alternatives for providing multiple ways for freelancers to make money.

You can teach virtually anything on the site, from Mathematics and Physics to coding, animation, and music. All you need is information about your educational background and work experience, and you’re good to go!

A requirement you may want to remember – although it’s an unlikely entry barrier – is that all tutors must be at least 18 years old. They must also reside in the US or Canada and have a degree or be a college sophomore.

If your application is approved, you can make at least $16 per hour.

If the 21-subject catalog at TutorMe shocked you, here is a site that assists students in more than 300 subjects. On Wyzant , anything goes.

No formal education is required, and there is no need to prepare for an interview because there is none.

You must be really good in at least one subject, though. The marketplace is too crowded to accommodate mediocrity, let alone give you a second chance.

What’s more, the commission over there is a whopping 25%. That is, if you make $100 from a subject, Wyzant will cut $25 for being the go-between.

Wyzant considers its tutors independent contractors and therefore lets them decide their pay rate, teaching method, and lesson frequency.

According to the site, most tutors charge between $35 and $63, which is a pretty competitive range compared to what other sites like Chegg have to offer.

Other sites similar to Chegg

11. oneclass.

How do you like being paid in redeemable credits? That’s what OneClass has in store for you.

You could be forgiven for thinking that’s the sole weird thing about the platform. Apparently, the company doesn’t just pay you for doing other people’s homework. It also pays you for uploading notes.

Basically, it is a student-to-student platform, although nothing formal and strict is in place to ensure only students access the site.

OneClass is not as lucrative as most of the sites on this list, but it can be an excellent income source if you have some tutoring experience and actually have notes to share.

Tutors earn 25 credits for every approved file they upload – or thrice that if they are an Elite Note Taker. The credits are redeemable for cash or gift cards at Domino’s Starbucks, Amazon, and other major stores.

12. Freelancer

Freelancer will appear anywhere online work is mentioned, and deservedly so. The site has over 61 million users and can be accessed from anywhere worldwide.

Many freelance workers fancy Freelancer.com because it is free to join, is friendly to beginners, and allows contractors to decide their own pay rates. Additionally, it offers multiple withdrawal options (PayPal, Skrill, Wire Transfer, Express Withdrawal).

To thrive on Freelancer providing homework help, make sure your profile stands out because that’s where everything begins. Proper use of keywords and a thorough self-marketing approach will suffice.

The bidding wars over at Upwork were not a reason enough to make me leave it out of the list.

The platform may be notorious for being overcrowded, but that is not exclusive to the contractors’ side. There is an astonishingly huge number of clients too.

Your work is to ensure you have a good profile, reasonable pay rates, and good work ethics, and you will stand out.

Many homework helpers do not sign up for Upwork because it is not dedicated to connecting tutors and students. That makes sense, of course, since the platform is not tailored for tutoring, but it’s also misleading.

Some of the highest freelance earners work on Upwork, and let’s face it; registration is free, and no experience is required to use it. Why not try it and form your own opinion?

14. Eduboard

Hiring US and Canadian graduates and senior students, Eduboard is a website similar to Chegg that helps students do their homework and prepare for exams and tests.

If you have never heard of it, that is because it is still a young company with few mentions here and there.

Subjects that you can help with include Science, Math, Computer Science, Languages, Journalism, Social Studies, and Arts.

It is possible that you may not find your area of expertise, but the company invites you to request its inclusion.

Eduboard simplifies tutoring and homework by providing three tutoring options – online sessions, video tutorials, and quick answers.

Online sessions pay $20 per half an hour, while quick answers and video tutorials start from $2 and $15 respectively. The student gets to decide how you will teach them.

Skooli invites you to join their team if you believe you have what it takes to teach and offer homework help. The Toronto-based company pays CAD$25 per hour and lets contractors to set their own schedule.

You can join Skooli from any region in the world, and it doesn’t matter whether you are a native or a non-native English speaker. All you need, according to the site, is expertise, a computer, and an internet connection.

By expertise we mean teaching certifications and proof of education. These you will provide during the initial registration. A representative will call you to discuss your qualifications and answer your questions only if you pass this stage.

Skooli pays its contractors via PayPal. You can request a payout anytime you cross the $100 threshold and expect the money in your account the following Friday.

Which site did you like most? Don’t shy from finding more information about it on the internet.

Offering online homework help can be a well-paying side hustle, and if you have what it takes, nothing should stop you from launching yourself into the game.

Are you looking for a side hustle that aligns with your strong academic background in subjects like maths, English, or physics?

Not everyone can become a classroom teacher or engage in online tutoring. But you can get paid to do homework and still earn the same hourly rates as an online tutor.

Keep reading to find out how much you can earn by doing someone’s homework and how to get started.

Can You Get Paid to Do Homework?

With the advancement in edtech, many schools now host online classes, and students have to adjust to the new pattern of teaching and learning.

But this has opened more opportunities for people to earn from online tutoring services, including doing a student’s homework assignment and getting paid to read books .

While it may seem illegal to do homework assignments for students, there are several reasons that make getting paid to do homework a legitimate venture.

First, we should understand that some people have learning difficulties and won’t be able to catch up without homework help.

Second, others may be too busy with work to enable them to raise funds to pay their tuition. Adding homework to the list of their challenges may not yield a desirable result. Hence the need to outsource the task.

Next, there are students who miss classes due to certain ailments and those who can’t concentrate on schoolwork because of family problems.

Getting homework help in these instances isn’t illegal. In fact, it’s a great way to make money online for beginners .

How Much Can You Make by Doing Homework?

You can earn between $5 – $20, either per assignment or on an hourly pay rate. Some platforms will pay up to $50 per hour if you’ll also handle an online tutoring session.

Why You Should Consider Doing Homework for Money as a Side Hustle

Getting paid to do homework could be an easy way to switch to private tutoring and make cool cash.

Below are some benefits of considering this side hustle.

  • Flexible Work Hours : Unlike the traditional 9 to 5 job, offering homework help online presents an opportunity to work at your desired hours and from the comfort of your home. This flexibility is beneficial to busy professionals and college sophomore-year students looking to make extra cash from online platforms.
  • Job Satisfaction : There’s a feeling of satisfaction that comes from helping people. And in the teaching profession, it’s incredibly fulfilling to see a student progress academically because of the help you rendered to them.
  • A Steady Stream of Income : The gig economy is growing and so is the need for academic assistance. Depending on your pricing strategy, the demand for your skills, and your advertising strategies, you’ll always have clients and a steady income stream.
  • Exposure to Academic Networks : Working with students opens you to a new world of opportunities, especially if you make a good first impression with your expertise. They’ll introduce you to their friends who also need your assistance. You’ll be motivated to join online academic communities to broaden your knowledge base, learn what’s in vogue, and establish new connections.

Problems With Doing Homework for Money

Getting paid to do homework sounds like a great idea, but it comes with some challenges. You may encounter the following problems:

  • Complex Subjects : Dealing with complex concepts can be quite demanding. If an assignment is beyond what you can handle, ensure to inform the client and focus only on those that you can confidently answer.
  • Unrealistic Expectations : Some students will expect so much from you. Perhaps, they believe your assistance will boost their academic performance overnight. It’s important to communicate your role earlier.
  • High Level of Competition : Getting a consistent stream of clients might be difficult in the beginning because of the high level of competition in the tutoring industry. You should plan to stand out and request reviews when you finally land your first set of clients.

How to Do Homework for Money: Step-By-Step Instructions

Before you can get paid to do homework, here are some steps to take:

Step 1: Identify Your Area of Expertise

In the teaching profession, you can’t possibly be a Jack of all trades.

You should identify one or two subjects that you’re passionate about and possess adequate knowledge, such that you can answer questions without first consulting your books.

Also, you should choose the grade you’ll focus on, whether it’s elementary school or college.

Step 2: Find a Tutoring Website

Most sites that offer homework help services start out as tutoring platforms.

Since they may already have a large number of students making tutoring requests, you’re sure to find those who have assignments they can’t solve.

We’ve made a list of some of the best websites to check out; you can begin your search from there.

Step 3: Meet the Requirements

You should have some teaching experience if you want to tutor students.

Otherwise, it’d be helpful if you have a degree from an accredited university because that’s one of the requirements of the homework market.

You should also be sure that the site accepts tutors from your location and that your area of expertise is listed on the platform.

Step 4: Begin the Application Process

Once you meet the requirements, you should apply. You may be required to submit your CV and credentials for verification.

Most sites will require you to hold a mock session or write a test during the application process. This is something you should prepare for.

Step 5: Bid for Jobs

Getting accepted on a tutoring website isn’t a guarantee that jobs will fall on your lap.

You should ensure that your profile is optimized enough to attract students.

You should bid for as many jobs as possible because there are other tutors there who are looking for clients.

Things to Consider When Doing Homework for Money

Before starting this side hustle, here are some factors to consider:

1. Assess Your Level of Proficiency

Some assignment problems can be quite challenging and students may want answers quickly.

You should ensure that you’re highly knowledgeable in the subject you choose for this side hustle.

If you do this, students will commend you for being an expert, which could attract more jobs.

2. Determine Your Price

You shouldn’t expect all platforms to offer the same payment. Besides, some assignments can be simple and others complex.

There could be transaction fees, commission, and taxes, which adds up quickly.

When you put these things together, you should settle for a platform that offers a reasonable rate for your time.

3. Time Management

Because the homework market is quite competitive, you may be tempted to answer more and more questions to make a lot of money.

While you might be having a good time, you should know when to take a break and prepare yourself for another teaching session.

This is because a tiny mistake in your answer can ruin your entire reputation.

Students can see your profile and choose to book lessons with you. Or you can just apply for offers posted by students on the site.

Preply claims that its most popular tutors earn up to $550 a week.

What’s great about the site is that you can set your own rates, giving you more control over your income.

You get paid to your bank account or any other wallet of your choosing.

My concern with Preply is that it says, “Preply takes a 100% commission fee of your first lesson payment with every new student.”

This is essentially saying that for every new student you tutor, you have to teach the first lesson for free. I don’t think that’s particularly fair. I think if you work, you should be paid for it.

I’d guess that the reason for the 100% commission rate you pay when teaching new students is charged because Preply wants to keep one tutor working with the same student. But it still doesn’t seem fair to tutors.

That’s why Preply appears lower on our list.

For all subsequent lessons , the commission rate you pay to the site varies from 18% to 33%.

How much commission you pay depends on the number of completed lesson hours with students.

The site says the more tutoring you do, the less commission you pay.

Each place has its own criteria that applicants have to meet.

This means that one website may require you to have a master’s degree and another may want you to have only a bachelor’s degree.

Other sites ask for experience and some don’t.

For the most part, you’ll need proficiency in math and a degree. A degree is not required for all jobs though.

Some websites offer jobs to people who don’t yet have a degree, but are currently enrolled in a degree program.

It’s important to read the requirements for a specific website before you apply.

How Much Does Being an Online Math Teacher Pay?

As you saw with the numbers I listed above, pay varies from place to place.

Some sites pay higher than others.

So giving an exact income figure can be tough.

That being said, let’s take a look at the income reports on PayScale from online tutors.

According to figures listed on there, online tutors earn $19 an hour on average.

But, pay can range anywhere from $15 to $20 an hour.

Now, you saw above that some of the websites I mentioned, like Manhattan Prep for example, pay far more than $20 an hour.

So it really does depend on the website you’re working for. There’s no reason you can’t make a part-time or even a full-time income from teaching math online.

Happy Teaching!

With so many online math tutor jobs out there, there’s no reason you can’t start picking up work and making money right from your own home.

Working from home is awesome, as is teaching a subject you’re knowledgeable about.

If you’re thinking about teaching math online, go for it and give the websites above a try!

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 21: Startup Battlefield Finals, PhotoMath appear on stage at the 2014 ... [+] TechCrunch Disrupt Europe/London, at The Old Billingsgate on October 21, 2014 in London, England. (Photo by Anthony Harvey/Getty Images for TechCrunch)

Recent advances in technology have made cheating on math assignments and tests mindlessly easy. Some companies are hoping it’s profitable too.

The technology converts images of math problems from basic arithmetic to differential calculus into text and characters that computers can use to spit out answers. Which means that all someone has to do is open an app, position their camera over any math question and copy the answer. It’s very handy and fast, especially if you don’t want to bother to solve a math problem on your own during a math test, for example.

Chegg, which is traded on the NYSE and sells the answers to test and homework questions – answers that students use to cheat – already advertises that students can “Take a photo of your question and get an answer in as little as 30 mins.” And though that’s very handy for homework and unsupervised tests, this math-based imaging technology is nearly instantaneous – just hover your phone’s camera over a math equation and the answer pops up. From there, you can click a button to see the step-by-step solution.

As such, it’s a nightmare for teachers and schools who expect students to do their own work.

That’s the service Photomath provides – fast, free answers to math problems, built on this technology. The company’s website says, if you’re not sure how to do something, you can “just Photomath it.”

The service is highly popular. The Photomath app has been downloaded more than 250 million times and company leaders say the app solves more than 2 billion math problems every single month. The basic service – getting the answers and step-by-step answers – that’s free. The company has a subscription model with tutorial videos and other features.

“Our big use case is children checking their homework,” said Photomath’s Chief Growth Officer, Jennifer Lee. It’s a service they provide, she says, “without judgment.”

The problem is that the company has no way to know whether a student is using the fast, free answer service to “check” their homework or to copy it. Common sense will tell you that most students are using it to shortcut learning, not to see if they got the question right or understand an answer. Almost no one, for example, uses a calculator to check the math they did by themselves. People use calculators to do their math so they don’t have to.

That’s not my analogy. When asked about students using Photomath to cheat, Lee said, “When the calculator first came out it was considering a cheating tool.” She continued, “We are a tool you use to overcome procedural barriers, making sure you feel confident.”

And I get it. I feel very confident when my calculator tells me the right answer.

At the same time, there’s a reason calculators aren’t usually allowed in math tests. Calculators bypass learning and understanding. If you use a calculator to solve a math problem, all you’re demonstrating is that you know how to use a calculator. If you use Photomath to answer test questions, all your proving is that you know how to use their app. And maybe that’s fine. But we should not pretend students are learning or understanding math.

Photomath says they don’t think their service is being used to cheat because, Lee says, about 80% of students who use it look at the step-by-step solutions.

That’s fine. But unless math teachers and math assignments and math tests have changed since I went to school, the step-by-step solutions are required as part of your answer. More than once did I get the answer right but was marked wrong because my steps were incorrect. Students know that they can’t just write in the answer and not show their work. Photomath has to know this too. That a student is looking at the steps in their free, instant math answer app doesn’t make the case that they’re not cheating. To me, it makes the case that that’s exactly what’s going on – literally billions of times every month.

Lee says she questions whether that indicates cheating. “There’s copying down steps in a test and writing down to understand. Just because they are copying does not mean they are not learning,” she said. “At the end of the day, any tool, you can always use it incorrectly.”

Like other cheating providers, company leaders frame their company as “democratizing education” and talk about how they believe the nature of academic assessments needs to change because if teachers are simply asking questions and expecting answers, that’s not demonstrating learning. And that’s true – zero learning is being demonstrated when students just look up the answers and copy them down.

The core problem for Photomath, and its peers who insist that they’re learning tools and not cheating providers, is that they can’t be sure. They say they advance understanding and that students can always “misuse” their services and cheat. But they don’t have any idea whether that’s happening or not. For all they know, Photomath’s entire, massive user base is cheating – test in one hand, Photomath in the other.

“There is no absolute way to know what a student is looking at when they‘re using the tool,” Dakota Orlando, an Account Supervisor with 5W Public Relations said during our interview. In other words, they could be cheating. But that would be a using the service that gives free, instant math answers “incorrectly.”

For now, the private company is not profitable but there’s optimism that Photomath will be, just as Chegg and other answer sellers have been. And that’s attracted investment from Menlo Ventures , Goodwater Capital , Learn Capital and GSV Ventures .

15 Sites that Pay You to Do Homework for Other People

Back in your school days, you certainly must have felt overwhelmed by homework at some point or the other so much that you might’ve found yourself ready to do anything to make someone else do it for you.

However, do you know that it is actually possible today? Yes, some websites will pay you for doing others’ homework! It might feel somewhat awkward to look backward as a source of income. After all, you must’ve left school life behind long ago.

However, there are many students who are in need of help and will gladly pay you in return for quality work. If you have rich and deep knowledge in your subject(s), you have a much better chance of getting paid well. Certain subjects like physics, maths, and finance will get you an even better income.

Doing homework for other people can be considered academically unethical but helping others do that is totally fine. Thus, you should make sure that your answers to homework questions can only be used as a reference or tutoring aid.

There are many people who have the potential to utilize otherwise unproductive hours by helping students online and earning money for the same.

3 Easy Ways to Make Money Online

Published on Aug. 5, 2024

Natasha Etzel

By: Natasha Etzel

  • Whether you can benefit from a few extra dollars or need to earn a few hundred bucks, there are ways to make money online.
  • Selling clothes through apps, getting paid to share opinions as a user tester, and earning cash back rewards when you shop are legitimate ways to earn more money via the internet.

Many people are looking for additional ways to earn money. If you're already working a full-time job or multiple part-time gigs, seeking opportunities to make money online may be worthwhile. However, you need to be cautious, as scammers are looking to take advantage of hard-working people going through difficult times.

But there are legitimate ways to earn income through the internet. I'll share a few ways to make money online, so you can boost your checking account balance.

1. Sell unwanted clothes and goods

Some examples of websites and apps you can use to make money this way include Poshmark, Depop, and Mercari.

Taking care when writing product descriptions and snapping photographs of the items you plan to sell can increase your chances of making a sale. While you'll need to leave your house to ship items that sell, this is a way to boost your income primarily online.

2. Get paid to share your opinions as a user tester

I have personal experience with this one. You can earn income by sharing feedback with brands. Many companies hire user testing companies to poll consumers about their websites and mobile apps so they can make improvements to improve the overall user experience.

You'll need internet access, a computer or mobile device, and a microphone. Some tests require participants to record themselves via video, so a webcam is required. Platforms that offer such opportunities include IntelliZoom, Userlytics, and UserTesting.

Payment varies by platform and test, but you could earn several hundred dollars or more annually if you're approved for and complete tests. I looked back at my income records, and when I did some user testing work in 2018, I earned just under $6,000 throughout the year.

3. Earn money when you shop online

If you want to make a few extra dollars, look for opportunities to earn cash back rewards. When you shop online for everyday purchases, you can earn money back.

One way to do this is by using one of the best cash back apps . I have used Rakuten for years and have earned extra money without changing my online shopping habits.

This strategy won't make you rich, but it could help you make some extra cash. The best part is that using browser extensions, websites, and apps like this requires little extra work. You might as well get rewarded for making regular household purchases.

You can also use a rewards credit card at checkout to maximize the rewards you earn. Many people use cash back credit cards to earn a little back on purchases.

Do your research and stay alert to scams

The above options are a few ways to earn extra money online easily. But scams are becoming more plentiful, so you need to stay alert when researching opportunities.

If something feels off, trust your instincts. And never provide payment or personal information to someone you don't know in hopes of getting an online job.

If you're willing to put in some effort and time, earning extra money online is possible.

Alert: our top-rated cash back card now has 0% intro APR until 2025

This credit card is not just good – it’s so exceptional that our experts use it personally. It features a lengthy 0% intro APR period, a cash back rate of up to 5%, and all somehow for no annual fee! Click here to read our full review for free and apply in just 2 minutes.
