A couple weeks ago I joined in the AFS Java mini exchange, where all the exchange students on Java (maybe 15 or so) switched cities for a week and lived with a new family.  I was placed in Bandung, a city in the mountains about two hours from Jakarta.  Bandung is actually one of my favourite cities in Indonesia so I was very excited to be placed there.  It's mountainous landscape and cool weather is such a welcome and stark contrast from living in Jakarta for the past nine months. I got to meet up with some old friends in Bandung as well as explore the city, taking angkot everywhere.  Bandung reminded me a lot of Madison in that it had a very "college town" like feel, something that I had really missed about home.

Penilaian akhir semester (PAS) merupakan bagian dari evaluasi yang bertujuan untuk mengukur dan menilai kompetensi siswa, sehingga siswa dapat mnegetahui tingkat kemampuan yang dimiliki selama mengikuti pembelajaran di satu semester. Penilaian akhir semester adalah suatu bentuk evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh siswa untuk mengetahui pencapaian kompetensi diakhir semester.

Tujuan diadakannya ulangan akhir semester(UAS) ialah sebagai bentuk evaluasi atau tes yang mengukur pencapaian hasil kompetensi belajar siswa yang diajarkan oleh guru atau pendidik selama satu semester. Selain itu, ulangan akhir semester juga bisa untuk memantau kemajuan belajar siswa selama proses belajar berlangsung, untuk memberikan umpan balik (feed back) guna penyempurnaan program pembelajaran.

Di setiap satuan pendidikan pastinya akan melakukan kegiatan ulangan semester maka olehnya itu siswa yang akan melakukan ulangan semester harus banyak belajar guna mempersiapkan diri menghadapi ulangan semester sehingga dengan giat belajar maka harapan untuk bisa mendapatkan nilai yang baik bisa terwujud.

Begitu juga halnya dengan guru yang akan bersiap mengahadapi ulangan semester, maka sejak dini sudah harus bisa mempersiapkan untuk pembuatan soal-soal ulangan semester guna diberikan kepada siswa nantinya pada saat pelaksanaan ulangan semester. Adapun soal yang akan dibuat tentunya harus mengacu pada materi yang telah di berikan di sekolah sehingga siswa bisa memahami bentuk dan macam soal yang akan di kerjakan nantinya.

Untuk memudahkan para guru dalam membuat soal persiapan ulangan semester maka guru pastinya membutuhkan referensi soal – soal penilaian akhir semester. Sebab meskipun guru telah memiliki sumber buku sebagai pegangan dalam membuat soal ulangan semester namun jika guru memiliki banyak referensi dalam membuat soal maka akan lebih baik dan lebih memudahkan guru dalam memilih jenis soal yang akan di berikan kepada peserta didik.

Begitu juga dengan siswa meskipun di sekolah telah di berikan materi yang bisa dijadikan sebagai sumber belajar namun dengan berlatih mengerjakan soal-soal yang berasal dari sumber lain selain yang ada pada buku pelajaran maka   tentunya akan semakin memantapkan pengetahuan siswa dalam memahami materi yang telah di pelajari dan bisa menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan.

Memang pelaksanaan ulangan semester atau penilaian akhir semester (PAS) merupakan sebuah penilaian yang sangat penting maka olehnya itu guru dan siswa harus dan wajib untuk bisa melakukan kegitan ini untuk bisa menjadi pedoman dalam memberikan nilai di rapor siswa. Meskipun ada banyak jenis penilaian yang bisa dilakukan dalam proses pembelajaran namun penilaian pada ulangan semester menjadi point terbesar yang bisa menjadi dasar untuk penginputan nilai di rapor dan juga bisa menjadi penentu kenaikan kelas siswa.

Berbicara mengenai penilaian akhir semester (PAS) khususnya untuk semester 1 maka pada kesempatan kali ini kherysuryawan.id akan membagikan file soal dan jawaban PAS/UAS untuk semua mata pelajaran yang ada atau di pelajari di kelas 9 SMP.
